shyt.... @Conscious Pilot I forgot one..

Shane Strickland is another one that would’ve been great in AEW and the biggest standout probably too. As I think he’d have about the highest ceiling and potential.

I really hope this NXT/WWE move pans out for him cuz I fear this was a bad move by him.

Like I wouldn’t be surprised if AEW debuts on tv before he start having matches in NXT and he definitely probably not making a Takeover show this year as they already have too many other guys to push.

He could’ve came here and been as much as an instant success as he could get and I think matches against Y2J, Omega, Havoc, Page, Jack Evans and Angelico and either of the LU brothers would’ve propelled him

Going to NXT was a terrible move. Same for ACH.

Too many wrestlers still see WWE as the top of the game, and they feel they need to go there to prove themselves. So while the guys down in NXT should have it a lot easier to get out of the company, it's probably the burnt out talents on the main roster who are the only ones seeing how viable an alternative AEW is now.

I feel you. We live in a cynical world:ehh:

We been lied to for so long by so many, we become conditioned to not believe or trust anything :wow:

Scorpio Sky over there like :dahell:

If only Willy Mack, Ricochet, and Keith Lee would’ve been more patient and not signed their deals they’d be the standouts:wow:
Willie Mack deserves to be a bigger star

Show definitely felt New Japan like. New Japan often gets the silly shyt out of the way during its battle royal, and it gets more serious and hard hitting with bigger grudges the further up the card you get. I'm interested to see how they build feuds once their TV show debuts. Could be pretty exciting.

Dustin Rhodes can use that name because he used it prior to him joining WWE.

I thought he couldn't use it because the WWE owned the rights to that name since he came up in their system? You figure right after he left he would have been given the ok to continue using the Rhodes name

Cody's legal name is Cody Runnels Rhodes, so he could use it if he wanted. He apparently just doesn't want to.

I'll second a lot of people's sentiments here: a LOT of Black WWE/NXT guys missed out by not waiting for AEW or signing long-term deals with WWE. Most of those guys aren't getting pushed down there, and I'd bet on AEW definitely being more open to pushing those guys and pushing them as wrestlers as opposed to Black stereotypes. Sure, they don't have a lot of those wrestlers on the roster yet (mostly because they've been snapped up by other promotions at this point), but I don't think they be the company to have a Bobby Lashley or a Ricochet or a Sasha Banks fall into their laps and not know what to do with them.

Lashley could have been easily the top heel for AEW. Plus AEW needs a big man/monster heel and Lashley could have pulled it off.

Isn’t health insurance just for the ones with office jobs ? We don’t know what the pay is for the none elite people is either . So yes the creativity is true but also they haven’t done a TV show yet so we don’t know what will happen once they are actually airing . They will run into some of the same issues that other companies ran into but hopefully they manage to get around them and keep the same spirit of being the elite leading up to Cody vs Kenny

I thought it was for all full time employees but I could be wrong. Jericho got a huge offer apparently, also Jim is said to have the biggest commentator deal ever. They have big money too so the pay is probably decent. That's true. have to judge more when they do the weekly show, but a promising start, they do have that fresh feel at the moment.
