Haven't watched yet but despite all the praise I'm hearing it looks like Vader's not Ospreay vs Ricochet

Sorta agree with Vader, sure it looks cool and all but it's cringe worthy seeing that type of exchange. It doesn't contribute to the match and just looks highly rehearsed.

Haven't watched the match yet but That's usually the case with Ospreay matches

Yeah some of the flippy shyt can be TOO rehearsed. Definitely a fine line. Ricochet also has the same issue imo

Haven't watch the match yet, but this is why KUSHIDA is so great right now. He keeps these dudes flippy dance routines in check and brings story to the athleticism

I watched Ospreay vs Ricochet from the Evolve show, which I think took place shortly before Ospreay vs. Kushida. The Kushida match took a big fat dump on the Ricochet one.

I'm about to watch this NJPW version though.

It depends on your opinion honestly. It is a spotfest when it comes down to it but at the same time it's two of the best and most innovative of the "flippy shyt". You can hate that it's not traditional technical wrestling but it's damn near botch free high speed action. You dont have to necessarily love the style but when it's done at its best it should at least be given the credit it's deserves.

Plus the Japanese crowd was eating every move up and will somebody else who watched it correct me if I'm wrong but at some point I swear they brought back the "hory shyt" chant from Honor Rising.

Those kind of matches can really test your suspension of disbelief . I can accept the running towards the ropes , people being stunned for moves but those matches are like watching die hard and suddenly McClane jumps off the building flies away or something . Just too extra ... Having said that it was a good match
