Now Hearn says it’s Joshua’s turn to take care of business when he faces Andy Ruiz Jr. next month, and then the superfight between Joshua and Wilder must be made for their next outing.

“The fight with AJ and Wilder is the biggest fight in the sport and all being well in two weeks’ time it must happen next - no excuses, this is the fight that will change the sport globally.

“It’s a legacy fight and AJ wants it so bad. Two big, fast, dangerous and fearless world heavyweight world champions that can turn the lights out with a blink of the eye - it’s a must.”

This at least sounds like a step in the right direction, but don’t get your hopes set too high. With the way things have been progressing a Joshua-Wilder fight has only been getting bigger, and you can ensure that both sides will be angling to maximize their profits, even if that entails more ‘marinating.’

AJ went life and death with a Wlad that couldnt pull the trigger; no takam.....Aj has to prove his level, truth is Wlad got his ass kicked alot of times in the past, does beating wlad make you a 100 million dollar man all of a sudden, is that his claim to fame, Corrie Sanders is rolling around his grave right now:stopitslime:

AJ has beaten higher quality opposition than Wilder. Wilder beat Ortiz, even though there was some controversy and he struggled, but he beat him, and Breazeale who is not an elite fighter and he drew (even though most people think he lost) to an out of shape Fury coming back off a 3 year lay off. AJ has beaten Wlad, Povetkin, Parker, Whyte, Takam. Also beat Martin, Breazeale and Molina, the latter 2 which Wilder also beat. AJ has fought other champions and taken their belt which is why he's unified, Wilder has never unified. He's also offered Wilder the fight around 6 times for record purses for Widler which has been rejected, the latter according to Wilder was a 120 mil deal.

I've seen you big upping Whyte in here bro when he & Brezeale are on the same level. Both tough & durable but a tier under AJ & Wilder

I'm talking about AJ not Whyte but no I don't think Whyte and Breazeale are on the same level, Whyte would comfortably beat Breazeale I feel. It's true they may both be below Wilder and AJ but Whyte is ranked higher than Breazeale and has beaten better opposition than Breazeale too. He beat a former world champion in Parker for 1. His next fight is Rivas too so if he wins that would be another good name on his record. But the main point wasn't about Whyte, was that AJ has beaten better opposition than Widler thus far.

Everyone knew Wlad and that's a way better name than anyone on Wilder's record, Wilder wouldn't fight him while they were around, wouldn't fight either of the brothers, Shelly Finkle said he's just a baby even though he was fully grown then still. I don't put too much into sparring but apparently Wlad knocked Wilder down twice, so not sure if that's part of the reason they didn't fight him. Parker was also a champion, Povetkin was also very good and an Olympic gold medalist, his only prior loss was Wlad. Whyte is also ranked number 1 with the WBC.

Wlad was in great shape in that fight, and even at that age he was still superior to any opponent Wilder has ever beaten. Not to mention all the other names I said, the only good win on Wilder's record is Ortiz.

Ortiz is good or not..u bringing up age factors, a former champ who was already exposed by Fury...just odd angles. Lol

Ortiz is a good win, I don't mind giving Wilder props for that. Personally I think Wilder is very good and would beat most heavyweights, my issue is he has been protected too much and hasn't tested himself as much as he should have considering his age. Why has he never unified? He's been around for ages now, he's 33 or some shyt. And the only good win on his record is Ortiz. I'm just not a fan of the hype braggadocio but refusing to fight the best, it's frustrating. I just think it's silly to criticise AJ's opponents when he has 3 of the 4 belts and has a much better resume than Wilder. As of now AJ is the man in the division, if Wilder beats him he becomes the man no doubt, that's why we all want to see it happen, so we can really see who's the best, if Wilder wins I'll congratulate him and he'll be the king, especially if he then goes on to beat Fury. AJ vs Wilder will be 1 of the biggest fights in boxing history, I just want to see the fight, whoever wins deserves it. I just think it's a bit silly at this stage to criticise AJ when he's been trying to make the fight and Wilder keeps refusing over and over again, the pressure needs to be on Widler and his team to make the fight, people saying untruths about AJ just allows Wilder's team to keep getting away with not fighting AJ and as a boxing fan I just want the fight, everyone does surely. Let's put the debate to an end and see it, it would be amazing for the sport.

The belts Joshua has he never beat Fury for so of course he has to be criticized until he does what they did and fight someone legitimate and seen as the top 3 in their prime...Parker and Povetkin arent cutting it.

If you watch boxing like us regulars in here you'd know Whyte is at the same level or slighter higher than Brezeale. The only thing that separates him from Brezeale is he has slightly better punch variation. Neither move their heads well, their footwork isn't that great, & they smother their work consistently. I would say Brezeale has the better stamina
