If we use Breazeale as the baseline idk man lol. After the Fury fight I was saying AJ would outbox Wilder but that was with me not seeing much of AJ while I have known about Wilder for years. Wilder is the type where you gotta get him out quick because he is going to catch you eventually.

Skill wise I think Ortiz for example is much slicker than AJ and we know what happened there.

You need more then skill. You need to be able to survive. Deontay has been outboxed numerous times.

Fury was the only one that could last 12 rounds, and he barely made it.

The crazy part is that everybody knows it’s coming. Reminds me of Fight Night Champions when you have to fight the dude with the powerful left hook. You know it’s coming.

when wilder jabs theres a gap, between the jab and the right hand, that he can get hit with a left hook.

lets call that left hook a check hook. that is basically just a left hook with a pivot. but that lets you place it between that gap and simultaneously side step the right hand. breazeale threw a left hook. but not a check hook.

youre right. but theres still a few things you can do to take a guys right hand away.

Whyte is good, have seen him fight numerous times, he's much better than a guy like Breazeale, Whyte has a punch of his own that is capable of knocking people out and he's improved steadily as a boxer, pretty tough guy, his issues are sometimes he gasses and he can get hurt too. If he fought Wilder, Wilder would be favourite but there's also the chance Wilder gets outboxed and Whyte hurts him too. That's what would make the fight interesting, we don't know. As I said money would be on Wilder but Whyte isn't without a threat, it would be a credible opponent and good name on Wilder's record if he beats him.
