now joshua lost his biggest legacy fight...joshua vs fury can still happen just like the attempts ppl are going through to make joshua vs wilder a thing now after all this time...but both fights now lost something.....worst is all roads lead to usyk who beat joshua twice already so joshua prolly needs that more than ever

Fury was on his backfoot all night long with Usyk walking him down and landing that overhand left at will. how was this fight not faught at Usyk's pace?
Fury took the air out of the ball for most of the fight and potshotted and countered Usyk effectively. That was the game plan which is why he came in light. Fury wanted to counter off the backfoot and catch him. That's exactly why Sugar Hill said after the first round "don't worry, you will catch him with the check hook when he comes in". All the way until about round 8 Fury definitely took the air out of the ball and just countered him. Something happened in round 8 that changed the momentum. And then round 9 happened. I firmly believe Fury was content potshotting and countering to a victory, but he made a mistake and let Usyk back into that fight. That counter right uppercut to both the body and head was hurting Usyk big time.

Usyk destroyed all these guys plans more so in Joshua.
Fury is cool..rematch with Usyk, fight with AJ etc then retire.
AJ no title fighting Usyk and Fury scraps.

Fury was getting bit tired and usyk getting closer started ripping him.

its hard not to put usyk pound for pound number 1. but i can't put a 37 year old pound for pound number 1. he's slowing down. fury tried to age him out as much as he could and then had the nerve to show up to the fight with his trunks up to his neck. he tried to bullshyt him every which way and still got his ass kicked.

Absolutely and not to mention Chisora put him through HELLL in their fight too.

Not to throw a stray their way, but Usyk ate uppercuts that put Wilder and Whyte on their asses, absorbed it and kept coming. @patscorpio always referenced that Wallin fight and that stuck with me when this fight was made. Go make Fury EARN it by being just as physical as he is and he’ll show who he really is
Oh yeah not to mention for those who followed his career I could argue the michael hunter and maaaaaybe bellow fights were arguably as tough as this. The briedis fight was likely his toughest fight. It could have gone either way. Briedis the only one who could keep up with him in pace.
