I'm tryna figure out why he spent so much time fighting on his back foot and off the ropes when he did his best work in the middle of the ring?
I need to watch the fight again, but I think it had something to do with Usyk's footwork.

The times when they were in the centre of the ring, Usyk had his lead foot on the outside (at least that's what I took notice of). Risk of him landing the left and spinning him during exchanges.

Usyk also did a pretty good job of cutting the ring off. When you're a taller fighter, looking to create distance, that will force you on the backfoot and get you trapped.

Usyk is a technically sound fighter. What impresses me is that he's a former cruiserweight. Boxing like a short fighter wouldn't have been his bread and butter, but he looked natural doing it.

Usyk is a better boxing, plan and simple. Also @patscorpio always warned folks don’t get gassed from his Wilder fights & rating him as high as some do, Wilder is a shyt boxer who was tailor made (no Drake) for Fury.

Exactly.

Usyk knows how to counter a midfight gameplan change. I think Tyson while he's a decent boxer doesn't know how to make adjustments.

I dare to say, he's a one trick fighter more or less. Good boxer but only knows how to fight in one way really.

Usyk was fighting at all ranges tonight and much more of a dynamic fighter.

Facts, I got Usyk winning as well. A smaller fighter who's a southpaw gives Fury problems. For sure Fury has the skills to win no doubt. But I'm sorry, but I just can't unsee his previous fight with Otto Wallin

Fury really does have problems with smaller fighters. Both Usyk and Otto Wallin fights were similar

Evander must have been in the 3 belt era
Holyfield was the first 3 belt Undisputed cruiserweight, iirc.
I think so... WBO is the youngest sanctioning body. Think it's been around since 87 or 88. Holyfield moved to Heavyweight at 88... I think.
WBO was a minor belt and was primarily in Europe.

Fury gonna be able to stay off the booger sugar long enough to put together another training camp and fight again this year for the rematch...

Usyk is a real deal boxer Fighter, he made sure Fury will not recover and be forced to make errors. Respect to Fury he broke Usyk's rhythm up and had him bit fukked and sluggish.
When i saw Fury after round three starting to land body shots i wondered if he would overwhelm usyk with his size and power over time. Usyk an absolute genius with unshakeable will.
