This fight and the Lara fight not good for Hurd longterm, dude takes way too much punishment. Can't expect the "I'll outlast you" approach to work on everyone.

I don't think that's what went wrong. I think tis conditioning. Hurd does take way too much punishment but his conditioning usually has him stronger as the fight goes on. From the opening bell on you could tell his legs were fukked. His defense was atrocious this fight. His corner sure did not help this fight. Hurd may need to go back to the drawing board
