RZA you post on here? :NewLineUpBron:RZA is a snake?
Who are you?
You cant put that on him like that.
This is the cost of doing business.
When has RZA not been transparent or consistent when it comes to his side of the story?
You dont know what you're talking about.
The money that came up missing was given to wu-wear (power), allegedly. No disrespect to Power.
But he never came forward to defend himself against these allegations.
You're slandering a black man just because

I'm just a black dude who worked in the music industry breh. Do I have "inside knowledge" on the Wu? Hell no. But let us consider the facts, which are public. Most of the Wu has had financial problems with RZA. Now I'll defend RZA right quick to a degree: as the dominant producer (and exec producer), RZA was due a cut from every Wu album. So he made money off every album right. But now let's go deeper...did RZA give 20% of his exec producer/producer earnings to the Wu Tang Publishing pool? What about when he was doing soundtracks? So right out the gate there's tension.
Where there's smoke there's fire. You can't have the majority of the group upset about you about money and there NOT be an issue. I get it...dudes wasted their money and are bitter. But that doesn't excuse RZA's behavior.
I would say that he did, it was his company. But by the time he was doing soundtracks and such, who was still under Wu Publishing? By the time he did GhostDog score, 1/2 of the members were gone. You really don't think U-God, MK, GZA & Deck got paid from Wu pool. But at the same time, some were putting more because they were more active. Ghost, Dirty, Mef & Rae easily put more into Wu, when U-God or Masta Killa weren't putting anything. It's a fine line between what's right and what's just. That's their main beef with Divine. Now Divine, Power, Ghost and RZA got money up front because of course they would, since they are the execs. You know RZA was putting back into the company because he was the one keeping it afloat and it's his company. He invested more than any of them into that W. Ghost was because he had to. Power & Divine are the ??? because no one knows what Divine does or why he's needed. Power was the bank so he was seeing a return on his investment.
Their tension stems from people not getting what they feel they should get. Rae & Ghost always felt they were more high profile so they deserved more, instead of everyone getting equal cut. Ghost sued RZA for only like $200K and it was to erase RZA as both a producer and artist. Mef is always a team player, but his problem was the rest of them not showing any interest or brushing them off and still getting paid (like GZA). To this day, none of them have said that they were never paid by RZA. U-God has said that he was paid, numerous times, and then would say but if he see this much, he should be seeing double. U-God called out Cappa when the rumor was Cap was broke and driving a cab. But around ABT, they voted on whether to do a pay scale in which the higher profile members would get more than the other half. It would still be equal amongst the members of the tiers, but just 2 tiers.
I think their problem and what every exec said was a bad idea, was the way everything was structured in the beginning. Everything was so unique and even, that you knew money would come into play later on. These ain't Diddy deals in which artists have nothing, own nothing, and earn nothing. These ain't Baby/Suge strongarm deals either. You can't look at the Wu structure and compare it to other contracts/deals because it's not.
Absolutely. And only Ghost and U-God have had any documented legal court issues with RZA/Wu management. None of the other members, as far as we know, have attempted to take RZA to court for moneys owed. And the biggest indication to me that none of them were even done dirty is the fact that ALL of them always come together to work with RZA when that time comes and continue to do so. NONE of them have left the group and even Rae...one of the most vocal about how Wu hierarchy runs things...said on the Breakfast Club that he never was robbed by RZA or that RZA owes him anything.
