2 things;
A lot of times, players use the; "I don't wanna shower/change around gay dudes." What makes you more comfortable, naked, around straight dudes?
I played sports for only 2 years, in high school, I couldn't believe how comfortable guys were around each other while naked. John Amaechi said something to the effect; and I'm the gay one?, in response to all the preening that goes on in locker rooms. "Hey, look at my dikk" is the same thing, if your teammates are gay or straight.
Second; I subscribe to biblical principles and try to be as "straight laced" as I should. But, who are we to separate homosexuality from the adultery, gambling, sexual immorality, alcoholism, abuse, greed, etc. that athletes, allegedly are involved in?
You don't want a teammate with a "partner" on the team, but, you cool with the other cheatin' on his wife?
I'm not "for" homosexuality at all, but, I'm also not for the hypocrisy perpetuated by those who share my faith and those who don't, alike.
