Not really. It's part of the reasons that Euros set sail across the entire world and were always in wars, because the continent has always been quite populated. Africa and the Americas were underpopulated for centuries, both in part because of those same Europeans btw. Hell vast parts of Africa have quite low density til this day. CAR (my country of origin) has roughly the size of France and Belgium combined, but has only 6 millions inhabitants. Meanwhile France and Belgium combine for 78 million inhabitants.
