Villains don't sell if there's no hero to stop them so a standalone villain movie wouldn't do great business with the casual crowd. Peter Parker is more like Peter Pan movie wise.

We'll see what happens. If this does numbers it might change the game and we'll get some standalone villain movies.
shyt.I've been saying that a Doctor Doom origins story about him: losing his parents, meeting Reed Richards, his 'accident' fukking up his face, him learning magic, himmbuilding his suit, and him taking over Latveria gaining his diplomatic immunity would be dope as hell

Is what I have been sayingPeople bringing up suicide squad need to remember that they are most likely going to end up being anti-heroes. The only real villain will probably be the joker.
Without Batman or any hero to try stopping him. His whole reason for existing is Batman. This is such bs. A solo movie starring a Heath Ledger's Joker would do numbers.
If anything they should change shyt up once in a while and make a villain movie...a doom movie with doom and the protagonist for example. Thats one thing hollywood or america don't have the balls to do very often. Make a movie or game with the bad guy as the lead.
WhatNo movie has done an actual younger teen spider man. Ultimate Spider Man is easily some of the best stuff Marvel has done, cant waste the opportunity to bring it to the big screen

you can't be serious breh. What makes that pos cartoon one of the best things they've done?
Anyway, spider-man being perpetually young isn't just a problem the movies have, it's the company in general. They always refuse to let peter grow up even when he's a grown ass man. They constantly find ways to make him younger or less mature. Whether it's dissolving his marriage, not letting him let go of his aunt, etc.
