I disagree respectfully, he cut the promo effectively.

The way he sold the fear and insecurities of facing him to finally conquering said fear with each passing verbiage was well done.

And the way Gunther was selling every word was fantastic.

Jey doing that promo alone in the ring or in a sympathetic pre tape would’ve been perfect

Him doing that in Gunther’s face and not stealing on dude afterwards wasn’t good optics tho
