I don't think so. The worst thing AEW did to Sammy was pair him back with Jericho. He was doing fine as a midcard babyface.

Fam did it to himself with all the backstage stuff & he was kind of going no were as a babyface
But he is midcard status maybe under the right circumstance you could steal a ppv main event for a b level show
But he doesn't scream top guy on some Jeff Hardy babyface
