Honest the problem is when you had a fued going into mania everything ended at mania now it's pretty much just another ppv as almost every match on mania will have a rematch at extreme rules and maybe beyond that.
Mania used to end feuds now they use it to start or extend them so this is why you get the bullshyt like tonight

As a casual fan with no vested interest in the product I enjoyed it

Shane is the homie. I wish he would have won, but everybody knew he wouldn't. Still put on a hell of a show.
Ladder match and women's match was really dope too.
Not a great Mania in historical terms but I enjoyed getting high, drinking some beers and watching it

...because he's actually one of the few guys from developmental (or what is SUPPOSED to be developmental) that has actually developed.
In a place where they're constantly signing guys from the indies that have already been established on the scene for years and have tons of experience, he's a big former NFL player with a unique look that had nothing more going for him than the fact that he's big and an athlete. That's EASY to shyt on when you're expecting every guy in NXT to be some indy star when we forget that it's developmental.
Dude went from looking intimidating, but being a bit bland outside of having a CRAZY dope finisher and having 20 second squash matches, to actually developing a personality and slowly making an effort to improve in the ring. Went from justto actually making himself a worker that gets heat.
If you really think about it, he's EXACTLY what main roster fans want Roman to be. Stay woke.
He's developed because he started off so shytty. Fact is his matches still suck. His moveset is non existent. He has a terrible look and is a few strands of hair from being a talentless Arnold Anderson.
Just look at his matches with Aries and Crews. Horrible. Kudos to him for getting heel heat, but trust me if he keeps getting pushed it will be X-pac heat.
And then The Rock comes out challenges for the title, wins and Reigns doesn't touch it because Cena wants a trilogy for WM next year to settle things once and for all blah blah blah.

After reading JTG's second book recently I can imagine Ryder using this opportunity to take his advise to "play the game" and saw Hall and thought to himself "Has Ryder somehow hustled his way to being kilq up
