Exactly.

And if you don’t see yourself staying in the city for an extended amount of time, there’s no reason to buy a house.

This is the Coli though. I’m sure everyone here paying $1500/month mortgage for a 4000sqft mini mansion with fully decorated interior close to their city center.

They are not. They are paying for what they want. Lots of amenities, high rise living, no maintenance, etc. a young single person doesn’t need to own a home in a quiet neighborhood or suburb, they want to live in entertaining neighborhoods and be close to the action and around other young single people (the other folk who live in these apartments). Lastly, if they can afford it, why does it matter to y’all who can’t?
