1. No text/logos on my clothes. At all. For example, I don't wear Nikes anymore, cuz that big swoop logo throws my whole look off and make me look young. I wear lesser known brand sneakers with excellent fit and style. I'm a big fan of the more subtle Supras and Clae, with the occasional Converse or Creative Rec. For shoes, only Allen Edmonds, primarily the Park Avenues. Dress shirts may have designs, but it's not that office style. A dress shirt I wear at the office is one I wouldnt wear out at night or casually.
2. I go for a more clean, yet casual feel with a splash of ruggedness to offset the preppy cac look and people thinkin im a fakkit. I wear mostly black, blue, grey, maroon and purple. Only wear fitteds following a haircut. Not anything ostentatious on it like a basketball team logo though. My goal is for a broad to be like "damn, that nikka clean, then they catch one item that "pops" whether it's a fly hat, or a watch, type of shoe, etc. Always gotta have one conversation starter.
3. As I got older, I got more into accessories. I'm always wearing a watch, now. (Black owned
Talley and Twine) Maybe a ring. Maybe a masculine necklace.
4. The mentality shifted on how much I spend. When I was young, I thought that "spendin 400 bucks on this, just to be like nikka you aint up on this!" was the move. Now I always shop at the clearance section and use mad coupons. I take pride in looking among the best in the room for cheap prices.
5. Bought the black owned
Scotch Porter collection ( beard balm, beard conditioner, beard wash) to keep my shyt on point and smellin good.
6. Ultimately, my shyt is just a reflection of my personality. I never try to get what people think looks good. I just be.
