Here we go again... Dodging and ducking and no accountability for what goes on in our communities. If this was one of your family members and there's a whole "black lives matter" movement trying to tell the world BLACK LIVES MATTER, yet you seeing people you love or people in your community constantly dying at the hands of other black people, you too would feel like the movement is bullshyt. Who the fukk cares if the killer was caught? Those lives are gone FOREVER over some senseless petty shyt. Asian Americans, Jewish Americans, Indian Americans, and other minorities in this country don't kill each other nearly as much as WE do. nikkas never as passionate about us killing us than with cops killing us. Either way the result is still the same.
I understand your sentiment. But, unfortunately, there will always be crime. There will always be people who're angry, evil, heartless, vengeful, sadistic, disturbed, commit crimes of passion, etc. There is nothing that anyone can do to prevent all crime from happening. The best solution I can think of is for us to obtain wealth, land, equity, and power. Once we have too much to lose, my hope that we will not risk everything we have by succumbing to our worst desires (whether the anger/action is justified or not). That's the real reason why Asian Americans, Jewish Americans, and Indian Americans and other minorities don't kill each other as much as we do. They have either been given (or have not been prevented from getting) opportunities, resources, and power... something which, frankly, we have not had the opportunity to get or maintain throughout American History.
What if black men weren't experimented on during the Tuskeegee "study?"
What if the black millionaires of Tulsa, Oklahoma were able to keep their wealth and equity over the years and pass it down throughout generations instead of it being destroyed?
What if white supremacists in Wilmington, North Carolina hadn't forcefully caused an insurrection that stymied black people from working and obtaining earning potential?
What if black people weren't prevented from buying houses and land over the years which would have allowed us to obtain wealth and equity as the value of the land increased?
What if the 1994 crime bill (written by Joe Biden) wasn't crafted to specifically target black people which helped to destroy the black family?
What if we didn't live in a country that venerates and memorializes genocidal mass-murderers?
What if we didn't have race soldiers in positions of power who openly admit that they "want to set us back generations?"
What if the CIA didn't purposely allow crack cocaine to be flooded into the black community?
What if J. Edgar Hoover targeted an evil terrorist organization like the Klu Klux Klan instead of targeting The Black Panthers?
Imagine how far along we'd be as a community, as a people, as a race if we had not been systematically targeted for destruction by our own federal and state governments -or- if they hadn't turned a blind eye to the atrocities committed against us by other groups. ESPECIALLY after everything black people have done for and given to this country throughout its history.
I'm not saying that white supremacy is what made the man in the video take the specific action that he did. What I am saying is that white supremacy had previously, and still continues to, put us in desperate communities, situations, and circumstances which in turn, forces us to act desperately. BLACK LIVES MATTER and the best way to save ourselves is to eliminate white supremacy in all shapes, sizes, forms, and facets. That is why I feel that the movement is not bullshyt.
