Not on your life. Dre’s plans have been going left since season 5 started. Marlo was doing everything right and only went down when he got too big for his britches. He had the insight, but things started coming together a bit too well. He could’ve even gotten out of the life if he wanted to by the end.

Dre on the other hand got way in over his head relying on straight bluffs.

The Wire has been off the air for a decade and it's still being talked about as if it was airing new episodes. I don't see Power having that much of an impact. Of course I've only watched a couple of episodes of season 1 of Power so I can't really speak on it.
