My hope for Francis was to get 3 big fights/Saudi bags: Fury, AJ & Wilder. But after getting brutally KO'd like that I hope he goes back to MMA gets some wins, and then retire and help build up his community in Cameroon.

His life story is incredible. Whatever breh decides to do with his career, I'm rocking with him. But a really bad KO like that can permanently change a fighter...

A Wilder v Ngannou on an undercard in the future wouldn't surprise me at all.

Why did Francis switch to southpaw?

It's an MMA thing I think. They usually are quite comfortable fighting in both stances and switch often though they are not switch hitters per se.

With the way Francis was swatting feints with his rear hand, I thought AJ would have caught him with a left hook. Anyway, AJ took that fight seriously and it showed. It took time but he got his confidence back it seems. As long as he keeps this boxer-puncher style, I can't see him losing against Fury.

I feel he really improved since the 2nd Usyk loss and he looks pretty composed out there. I had always favored Wilder in the AJ matchup but this version of AJ starches him. A shame we'll never get this fight.

i felt he lost a lil edge when he stopped fighting almost 3 times a year. He doesn’t take much punishment in the ring, so he should stay as active as he can be
