Think it was said already but sometimes that’s why you can’t marinate fights too long because in the heavyweight division there’s always a risk. Kownacki was a huge favourite, he could have fought Ruiz or Wilder for much bigger money. Now he’s really hurt his brand, the 1 loss shouldn’t define him, maybe he was just caught but he did just get beat by a fighter that was recently knocked out by Washington who was just knocked out by Martin. It’s hard to escape that. This is a case where losing his 0 matters a bit more cause it would have been a selling point for a potential Wilder fight, the interest in that fight 1 day is gone now for the time being at least and possibly forever. He needs some good wins now at a good level. Not sure who he’s gonna fight next though now.

Breh he was asking for it, begging for it. Not only this fight but his whole career leading up to it. Attacking strictly in a straight line, zero fukks given about head movement, he had it coming. When you go 12 with washed ass Arreola and eat tons of punches in the process you already know something isn't right. Helenius tagged him with some nice shots too before the stoppage, Kownacki just walked through it mostly and by the end of the third, it seemed like he's on the cusp of a stoppage win. Only to get caught by better shots.
I'm telling you he is not the kind of fighter ho gonna improve a lot either, he is who he is, found his ceiling and it won't go up.

helenius is very heavy handed...he is washed but you cant let him hit you like that...i just hope this wakes up kownacki to stop the bullshytting...coming into the ring sloppy and open..dude should be no more than 235

to me...because with that and this fight it puts kownacki firmly as a mid tier heavy and even worse..it extends chris arreola's nine lives in this sport I know he’s open generally, just he seemed to get hit with a certain shot that seemed to stun him and make his legs wobble and from that point he seemed vulnerable and gone, never recovered.
You may be right, I can’t say I’ve seen all of his fights, I was just surprised he lost this 1 as was such a huge favourite. And I thought Helenius was probably on the decline now after he got stopped by Washington, but I’ve found out there after there was a camp issue in that 1 for him which may explain it.
From the way people spoke about him I was surprised he lost this 1. The fights I saw him in I quite enjoyed it because he threw a lot of punches and he seems to have decent power, always been way too open though for sure. That’s why I thought it was relatively easy fight stylistically for Wilder should that have happened, sure maybe he could have hurt him but way too open and you’d imagine he’d get knocked out, possibly quickly.

Can't turn down a shot at belts, especially as a HW. Ortiz, Wilder, and Kownacki getting that AJ Karma for not making the AJ fight last year when they should have. Hate to see it
