Different regime.
What did they say?
Dunno, I don't watch Raw, I just saw people talking about it in the Raw thread. Think Pat complimented the match and called it "crazy" or something.
Trips had booking power back then and made one of the top 3 worst booking decisions ever made at a Wrestlemania by going over in that match.
Also, a Sting retirement ceremony by WWE would have been really awkward; he was only there for 10 months and I think only did 3-4 matches in that time with his last match being the one he got hurt in. At least with Flair, he spent a sizeable amount of time in WWE before "retiring".
You good, but you jumping on the Triple H era a little too quickly when in reality only time will tell.We don’t know how of that was booked by HHH. I mean just look at how people are treated after he took over for real, there is nothing that points at him not being able to pull this off. Y’all are using old examples from the Vince era, that doesn’t count
Look I’m not saying AEW didn’t do a good job but WWE would have made it feel like a bigger deal that’s all I’m saying. I’m not taking anything away from AEW

What they did on Edge's way out was solid. Orton is probably gonna be working for years barring injury. Cena for sure is up next. We'll have to see what Triple H does for a retirement ceremony in his era. I'm guessing Orton or Cena would be first to receive one from Trips.
The average ticket price for the event was $55. The report also notes that OVG Hospitality’s food and drink per cap was $19, not including suites, for concession receipts totalling $306,242. The average spend on merchandise was $21.64 for $349,000 with almost everything on retail selling out driven by Sting’s retirement match.
The report notes that for the Greensboro Coliseum, the numbers are in line with a concert and on the high end for a family show. The Coliseum’s deputy director Scott Johnson provided the numbers.
