people in here really tried to spin breh training hard for the biggest fight of his career into a negative
meanwhile he ended the 12th looking like he was barely in a fight and like he could do a couple more rounds with ease
time to start putting some respect on his name. It's no more excuses for why dude shouldn't be listed at the very top for Canelo future opponents

Plant got the early rounds but he was honestly on his bike immediately and holding and scared from like the 3rd/4th round on. All that trash talk and animosity, Plant mouth wrote checks his body had to cash. Got broke down and his ass whupped like most people were predicting. If you replace Bayless with any other ref last night we probably witness a brutal KO so I rank the win as impressive for Benavidez
Hopefully now the weird stanning for Plant dies. he a cool contender type but has a clear ceiling, never will be a star, and in the words of fiyastarter "he ain't nobody"

Agree on 100% of this post. Any other ref and Caleb gets laid out bad. Thought it was a great performance from David, but Kenny Bayless and Plant with the excessive hugging took a lot of the steam out of a fight that was supposed to be nothing but fireworks. We see that it was just Plant talking shyt and that's it--he couldn't back up none of it.

I was entertained, this was a good fight. Plant lost, but he went out on his shield can't question his heart. Benavidez vs Canelo would be a great fight to watch and it should be the one Canelo fans are calling for next.

People gotta accept canelo is fighting bivol in September. That's already set in stone so y'all gotta deal with it. Don't see how anybody can hate on a dude who wants to avenge a loss. Smh. Let him fight morell or Charlo in September, then we get the canelo fight in may. David needs the experience anyway. Man we been saying this ......and he's not gonna be able walk canelo down. David can't fight going backwards. Punches too wide. Canelo will keep him to single digit landed punches every round. He could barely even land on plant who's nowhere as good defensively as canelo. Only difference is canelo will actually make him pay for those missed punches. Canelo will finish him quicker than he did plant. But it'll be an exciting fight for as long as it lasts.

If he couldn't finish an overnight old Triple G, he'll never finish Benavidez.

Another fan who believes in Canelo facing a top opponent than Canelo himself. Canelo damn sure won't bring his style of walking down opponents against Benavidez. He'll get his face beat in. He hasn't faced someone with hands that fast since Floyd and little Amir.

Canelo has MUCH better head movement and just overall defense than Plant, and Benavidez's hands didn't look THAT fast to me. Plant was doing a great job of avoiding them even was he was against the ropes before he gassed out.
