He's not finished. He needs a strong recovery though. I mean..Sugar Ray Robinson and he's better than anyone you've ever seen box. We'll see if Mikey takes a tough fight next outing.
Sugar Ray Robinson what? I think he can come back but just thinking about the fact this fight even happened I feel like none of it makes logical sense. Mikey let his ego trick him. The pacquaio fight would have been perfect for him...or he could have at least cut his teeth with 2 fights at WW before going against that monster Spence....I know Mikey's pride must be hurting bad. He got punished and outclassed. I swear there is nothing worse in boxing than watching one of your favorite fighters get their ass kicked. I'm having the same feeling right now as I had when Barrera got beat by pacquaio the first time. Utter shock and disbelief :to:

He won't be fighting on regular TV again, breh. And yes, he carried Mikey out of respect. Round 8/9/10/11 he could have finished it anytime he wanted. Errol told Mikey he was foolish all the way back when Mikey fought Robert Easter...he told him there were weight classes for a reason. He knew this would happen.

I love Mikey to death and it really hurts me he lost, as he is one of my favorite fighters, but he may have committed career suicide by fighting a fight everyone told him not to
He can go Run 140lbs division and even bring Loma up to fight him :dwillhuh:

I talked about it a few posts up. Spence still has a tendency to lunge and throw off balance shots. Leaving himself wide open to overhand counters. He also has a tendency to open up really wide when he throws and lean in forward with his head exposed. A fast and accurate counter puncher could make him pay for this. And like I said too. He fights at the same speed every round. Every punch is thrown at the same velocity. Never really switches it up. Doing all these things vs Crawford could get himself timed and countered with heavy shots. It's a great fight though. Right now I just see crawford having the edge.
The thing that makes Spence so hard to evaluate is just the way he has outclassed his opponents. With him winning so easily and he can be effective with the lunging and off balance shots and he's not being made to pay it's hard to know if they are flaws or him just saying fukk it and attacking. But I agree with what you're saying and it will be interesting to see if his next few opponents can take advantage of it. I'm just looking forward to see what else he can add to his game. I think Crawford and Spence are both superstars. I'd prefer both to fight a different big name opponent next. In an ideal world one would fight Manny and one would fight Thurman. Huge fights where if they come out victorious it'll make Spence-Crawford a true megafight.
