I give mikey credit for stepping up and believing in himself. I give him credit for having a solid chin. But as far as his performance, that shyt was embarrassing. Flat out. He said he would do whatever it takes to win, but after the 3rd round he just gave up. Barely threw anything and just stood there with his hands up. Can't even give him huge credit for the chin cause he braced himself for every shot. He didn't wanna trade because he didn't wanna get hit with a punch he didn't see coming. He refused to take any risks at all.

We've seen mikey look shaky in the past when faced with adversity, but last night made it official. He's not cut from that cloth. Mikey was in a situation where he had to go all in and instead he just accepted defeat. You can't call somebody out and then perform like that. If we're gonna shyt on broner for not throwing and just fighting to survive we gotta shyt on mikey too. fukk a moral victory. Great fighters don't fist pump just cause they survived a round :mjlol:

He showed some heart early but once he knew spence was too much, he quit. And it's not like spence didn't give him chances. Numerous times spence would square up and give mikey a fair shot to attack and mikey was shook to death. There was really nothing redeemable about mikey's performance. He got schooled, embarassed, and showed no type of grit whatsoever. He asked for this matchup, and he needs to be judged accordingly. That shyt became sad to watch after a while..

The lack of effort combined with previous things I overlooked has me straight up debating having Mikey as the capo of #SmokeSquad :mjcry:

what surprised me is he did not use the ring. like you said, stood right there in front of spence. spence had a great gameplan. garcia simply had none.

I was waiting for you to chime in lol. Spence was the more prepared fighter by far. I really think Mikey & his camp weren't prepared for Spence to use his height & reach & expected him to try to run through him...pause :dame:

I told Smoke a couple weeks ago the key to beating Spence is to take away his jab but Mikey literally had no plan B

I'm tired of folks saying Garcia lost every round. :stopitslime:

i said something to that effect a little back. you remember when trinidad fought hopkins? people figured trinidad would knock hopkins out. that made the most sense. nobody figured hopkins would try to box him. the point of taking on the spence fight seemed to be that mikey garcia could use spence's aggression against him. not playing into that role for garcia made that whole house of cards fall down.

fukk out here :camby:

I'm a Mikey fan and I ain't asking Floyd to fight Canelo at no 160lbs nor did I critisize Crawford for KOin a smaller Gamboa

I wanted Mikey to Fight Crawford at 140 instead of Spence since he's closer to Bud in body size then he is to Spence , but with the bad blood between Arum and Mikey I knew it might not ever happen

if you felt the opposite of what this video was saying.... why the "fukk outta here"??? Obviously he wasn't speaking to YOU! But like they say "a hit dog will holla"

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
“Blacks can’t take it to the body”

Nah fukk his experience. He’s been in enough gyms by 98 to know that’s byllshyt. Whitaker arguably won

lmfao its a crop of shyt. He knew what he was doing :mjpls:
You gotta read between the lines breh

he specifically said the ones he fought...who weren't elite to that point. yeah he was talking shyt ..but it wasn't anything to her hold a grudge about unless you were one of the fighters he's talking about

It really shouldn't be shocking though. he already admitted he didn't love boxing in the past. I think he really came back inspired. But last night made him realize he's really not built for this shyt. Most fighters say they're willing to die in the ring, but only a handful really mean it. And the guys who don't always get exposed eventually. When you get two guys with that mentality, that's when you get coralles-castillo, hagler-hearns type shyt. That's why I don't think mikey will ever be the same again after this fight. Not even cause the physical punishment but because of the mental. Spence ripped his soul out last night. You could see it in his eyes. He gave up on himself after 3 rounds.
