I never downplayed Spence skill. nikka I said I wasn't impressed like that with dude, but he still boxed good and won clearly.

I just hold nikkas to higher standards when they over match their opponents. Forcing a stoppage would have been a better look, but thats just me.

I can't say Crawford is the guy to beat Spence until Bud fight someone as good as the nikkas Spence has beaten. Thurman has fought tougher opps than Bud so it is what it is.

Mikey went for the check, point blank...and why not? He went from $1M to approximately $8M last night, and immediately talked about going back down in weight in the post-fight interview.

Seemed like his plan was to survive, get paid and go back down with no regrets. He fought like he knew he had no shot anyway.

its basically a quick catch-up move for the couple of years he was out of the ring. a Kell Brook move. secure a bag. he is nearing the downside of his career so this was a smart move, now he has nothing else to prove, just go back down and take a few more big fights. First congrats to Spence for dominating & BOXING beautifully. It was a sight to see & I enjoyed it. And since you tagged me you conveniently had amnesia (or you haven't been reading my comments) where I favored Spence to win it from the jump. I didn't think he'd dominate or BOX the way he did. In fact, @mr. smoke weed will verify what I said a week or two ago to him about if Mikey couldn't take away his jab....

He controlled distance almost perfect all night & engaged when he wanted to. Huge win for him
