The casual acceptance and propagation of obviously fake misinformation and news is stunning to me. There are no confirmations that she wrote a memoir, she's not listed as the author of said memoir on the fake Amazon page, it's full of spelling errors and is less than 100 pages long. In short anyone with half a brain should be able to determine it's bullshyt. And yet....it's being passed around as truth.
We've got a large group of people out here who are just stupid. Borderline illiterate, who don't read books, are computer illiterate and just believe whatever is presented to them as long as some keys words/phrases are applied ("hidden truth, secret, government doesn't want you to know, leaked, etc"). Add in the way Twitter gives blue checks to anyone, thus allowing random people to pretend to be journalists/sources/etc and you have a post-truth society. This will only get worse as AI improves.
Nancy Grace has (supposedly) read it and done a segment on it

It's not like the SOHH days when we would debate albums, lyrics and beats. Now, dudes want to carry on like aunties in the beauty parlor. So fake books, who snitched on who, and cryptic social media posts are what they focus on. You can say anything and these people will run with it and make mad threads about it.
