I want to apologize to the coli and 2chainz for unfairly accusing him of something based on a lie. Please check out this song off his album. It's one of the top 5 hip hop songs to come out this year IMO and I think we can all relate to it.

It's sad that nobody wants to hear the truth and these nikkas gotta play the thugnificent role. If 2 Chainz rapped about his real life he'd be considered a backpacker. But then again Drake is accepted by hardcore hiphop fans and he never spent a night in the slums.

I'm more concerned for the example it sets for the youth. We got 30+ year old college grads rapping about selling drugs and being a trapper. How can anyone in their right mind take college seriously after seeing clowns like 2chainz and plies.

You know damn well you had no time to trap in between playing ball and maintaining a 4.0 avg. the nerve of these cats!!!

Bragging about your education unfortunately is something that got played out in hip-hop a long time ago. Back in the 80s-early 90s, people used to talk about how many books they read and how much knowledge they had as if it was a spinning chain. Unfortunately there were rappers that subscribed to the shyt Chris Rock was talking about and made that aspect of rapping uncool.

I don't know who will be the person that will attempt to bring that back, but not many will try because let's be honest, there's a negative stigma to being smart yet still being hip-hop. Considering how much youth, inner city youth and minorities are going to school, I'd be bragging about it all the time. Instead, people make music that college kids like.
