I agree in a way. It's obviously better to have a seatbelt on, airbags, good tires and good brakes to avoid dying in a car accident.No victim blaming but there are things that can be done to minimize rape. Just like any crime.
But let's be real, minimizing the causes on the victim side will never nullify them because the very problem lies in the culprit side, ie in the education of some men (let's just talk about men here) and/or in the mental disorders of few other ones (multiple studies show most rapes are not caused by strangers or lunatics but mostly by relatives). A way too large part of men see women as goods, trophies or worse as preys and that's where fighting rape begins. In booty shorts or in burkas, if a rapist wants his, he will get his.
