I have a disdain for this movie just because it will forever be compared with Menace 2 Society, and I think Meance was clearly better. shyt, I think Meance 2 Society is the greatest movie of all time

At SDSU, they taught Boyz N The Hood as a college course (sociology) The class was full and was hard to add Keep in mind state is all white
They Watched each scene and broke it down and had to write about it each week. I remember my mom told me the professor broke down why Furious told tre not to join the army And how black men had no business fighting

yeah i got his character's role, i just dont like dude as an actor. the only thing ive ever seen him really act in was men of honor, he killed that role. he just had so many cringeworthy scenes and lines in boyzi wish John never used him
but then again, maybe he really was the best for the part

I like Cuba as Tre tho. There's a reason they choose him. It worked out well. Imagine Tyrin As tre? I can't. I like the film the way it is.
