I remember someone on another hip hop forum credited this album with creating the "Mainstream vs. Underground" divide in hip hop.

Either way, this is a good album with catchy songs, amazing features, and passable sounding raps from Diddy.

It also helped Mase blow up.

This album vs WuTang Forever set the tone for that split. Rawkus played into that dynamic too.

For those who are nutty completists like me, the "Soul Food" soundtrack version of "Don't Stop What You're Doing", while edited for content, goes on a lot longer at the end with some extra adlibs from Puff.
