So, no Bone Thugs (more specifically Bizzy, but you can make a case for all of them) murdering Biggie on "Notorious Thugs?" Of course the east coast STILL think Biggie did Bone's own style better.

Not from the east,bone is my favorite group (along with NWA),but biggie owned that song. Loved bizzy's part. But biggies performance was epic.

Looking at the list of songs, I really cant say anybody got murdered on their own shyt. Are there some memorable performances on some? Hell yeah. But in 90% of these songs, everyone came correct.

I mean look at "The Scenario" by Tribe. Busta just came with a hyped out style that stood out. But everyone came correct.

That's what it is though. I think the whole "murdered you on your own shyt" is really stating Song X is memorable because of the featured artist, not the main artist. You invite someone to jump on a track and they basically make it their own track.

Jay wasn't trash on Renegade, but Em shined to a point that people remember the track more for the solid religious bars by Em than anything else. Same with Nate singing on Regulate. Same with Pimp talking about his iodine poisoning on the Three 6 track.
