Why can't we admit MMA fighters would get slept in a standup fight and in a street fight most boxers would get worked?
Why can't we admit MMA fighters would get slept in a standup fight and in a street fight most boxers would get worked?
Uhm, I think you got things backwards. The fight was originally supposed to be a work, until Ali saw that he was scheduled to job to Inoki so he actually came in there fighting for real. It's not that he wasn't trying to hurt Inoki, its that he couldn't because Inoki was taking the fight to him in a way he couldn't deal with. Inoki gave Ali problems with fukking butt scooting leg kicks, but Ali's supposed to take on a wrestling monster with insane reach and excellent muay thai And if this is a street fight within close quarters with no room for Ali to find range, boy oh boy is it going to be a murderNothing about this resembles street fight . Ali wasn't even trying to hurt Inoki, while Inoki was on some with those intentional leg kicks, further putting Ali's legs to pasture.
Because there's nothing to suggest this would happen
if you say old washed up boxers ok
most boxers come from the streets and grow up street fighting, mma fighters are lames who use to get bullied for the most part
you have to be crazy to think otherwise
nikkas are exposing themselves breh. Of course an MMA trained person would have an advantage in a street fight due to having more tools in the arsenal along with the fact that street fights themselves are closer to MMA than boxing matches, but I'll let these experts in here cook You can have the nicest hands in the world, but if you have no knowledge of takedowns nor how to defend them, how the fukk are you stopping a wrestler from putting you on your back? Why can't we admit MMA fighters would get slept in a standup fight and in a street fight most boxers would get worked?
A boxer with no knowledge of takedown defense/clinch work is food against a wrestler if he closes the distance every time. No range = no hands....especially if dude changes levels last min. on that ass
And as far as your "most boxers come from the streets blah blah blah" shyt, the same actually goes for MMA. You act like MMA just started about a decade ago and here in the US. One of the biggest original hubs for MMA was Vale Tudo(No Holds Barred fighting) in Mexico/South America. Why else do you think one of MMA's very own forefathers Marco Ruas was nicknamed "King of the Streets"? You're talking about a culture of which one of the biggest parts were impoverished people fighting underground for cash with no rules. You have no fukking idea what you're talking about.
You must never heard of bare knuckle boxer, talking about Vale Tudo, how that work out for Aldo when Mcgregor treated him like a bytch
that video is a guy who doesn't know how to box
just because somebody has their hands up and throws some punches doesn't mean they know are doing, the fact you are using that as some kind example is proof you have no clue what you are talking about
in your video the guy who got slam is smaller than the other guy
I can put a video too showing the how easy it is to keep distance and knock someone out despite size, you like those idiots who think they can beat up mayweather because he's small
boxing is a science, that is the difference between, wrestling is not fighting, a true master of boxer will always win
Boxing is more dangerous in a street fight than in the ring
The Deontary Wilder said he will fight any MMA fighter and said already beat up a champion in his gym, while nobody in MMA community disputes this or will even call him out is proof enough
don't let that james toney circus show fool you
Aldo losing to McGregor doesn't prove anything other than once again, anything is possible. Aldo made a split second mistake out of anger and it cost him, he still landed on Conor even being hit while being sloppy, if Conor didn't land flush it would've been a wrap for him. 13 secs isn't enough to tell anything, we'll see for sure in the rematch....until then...
As far as Wilder beating an MMA champion in his gym, let's see the proof, and also sparring in a gym is not the same as a street fight, at all. Not only that, they were probably just boxing and not MMA rules cuz if it were MMA rules, shyt wouldn't be fair to Wilder at all You're trying to make this a boxing vs wrestling thread, it really isn't, it's about whether or not Jon Jones could beat a prime Ali in a street fight. Keep throwing irrelevant strawmen though. I'm saying with them knowing what they know as individuals and their respective skill levels, Jon would have the advantage in a street fight. Someone like Mike Tyson, however, would be more of a problem because he's a well known street fighter. He was knocking out ppl in the streets before he even started training. Street fights aren't just about athletic ability and skill, it's also about killer instinct. Many athletes have gotten that work in the streets cuz they're out of their element and simply dont have the mindset to deal with such a chaotic situation. There's a difference between a controlled/competitive environment with gloves, mouthpiece, sometimes headgear, rules and shyt......and a random anything goes brawl on the street. Just cuz you compete in combat sports doesn't necessarily mean you'll be built for it. Tito Ortiz caught an asswhooping from a smaller, striking based fighter in Lee Murray in a back alley. Both grew up fighting in the streets anyways, but Murray was more of a savage.

no one even said any of that shut you stupid fukk, all of the individuals mentioned in this scenario are highly skilled trained fighters. I'm saying the pro boxer who was well known for street fighting his whole life is going to have the edge in a street fight against an mma fighter more than the pro boxer who wasn't known for street brawling. Do I have to draw a flow chart or something to dumb it down for you?you can go into any boxing gym and test your theory, somebody will show you the difference
lol at thinking street fighting is superior to professional boxing technique
nikkaz live in a fantasy world
ali,
jon jones admits mike tyson would kill him
Admits or just being respectful and showing respectful to a legend?
Thats equivalent to the praise say a young top 5 NBA Allstar player in a playful shoot around with an NBA legend who's been out the league for 40 years would give.
"Oh yes, 65 year old Dr J still got it, he can beat me!"
Come on breh you gotta take that with a grain of salt...... who wouldve said anything thing else. People love to call JJ an a$$hole but even he not that big of an a$$hole lol
and that D. Wilder shyt.... easy to proclaim when you dont have proof... nicca need to name names. If true, dude probably beat up some guys in some "Tap Out" or "Venom" or "Afflictions" tshirts that you see in the bars who think they know MMA cuz they can apply a headlock Oh thats right.... he claimed "a champion" probably the champ of some no name mma fed where they have matches in front of 19 people in a bingo hall
