This thread is formulaic but consider the question...
Do the old "rain on the parade" of the youth??
"Old" = 35+, youth = under 23 (for this discussion)
No I don't think so
I think the negative people,(( the energy drainers and shytheads of that ilk))
Were born that way - it was gonna be their path
But it doesn't start blossoming until they reach 30'ish
We all reach age 30 and realize we "missed out" on something - we didn't do this or that - certain "good" milestones were missed or inadvertently skipped
...so regrets formulate
Some of us think "well those ships have sailed" .. "Let me get busy on the next wave"
Now we are even more motivated to make the current year our best year
Other looks back and reject the concept they missed out
So they try to construct possible narratives where (1) what they missed was meaningless or (2) what they missed is still possible
And one thing they target is the youth still in the pocket of possibilities
So they lash out at youths - mocking their nativity and spotlighting routine missteps as catastrophes
Either to denigrate what they couldn't achieve - or to muddy the waters , create confusion, so they can slip through and steal another opportunity
So i encourage the youth to peep game - ask what the older person is gaining by inserting their opinion into things
The difference between good advice with no ulterior reasons or being a hateful old person with secret motives
.. this is something all youth should learn to identify
