I don't know about this. We say both. We say Care-a-mell (caramel)...well some do, others pronounce it 'Carmel'. But we all say Carmel Corn (for ex.). So, two different ways...depending on the situation. We say sub and hero, too.

There are other ambiguities I've noticed but interesting. :ehh:

I just wanna know why it's called a hero. Who is it saving? Does it have superpowers? At least there's a reason why people call it a sub. It's shape is like a submarine.

This proves that South Florida is full of transplants from up North. The lingo is so different from the rest of Florida.
