NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I get what he’s saying. As much as rap has grown it’s still very regional in certain aspects. In NY for example nikkas listen to drill nikkas and local acts way more than big mainstream acts on the regular. Sure when they go out to maybe a big club it’s different but on their own time, nikkas is not listening to these popular artists like that regularly.
This is all facts.

Future: 2.21 Million listeners in Atlanta per month
Y'all getting defensive for no reason and missing the point

There's no hood bumping Drake at all hours of the day/night. This is just like threads where nikkas complain about females based on the sensational aggregate nature of social media and aren't accounting for real life because they likely don't know better

There's a spectrum of shyt nikkas listen to in their cars, speakers, headphones etc. You think Drake in mad nikkas headphones at work?

Y'all aint accounting for the local/regional superstar nikkas, the shyt nikkas been listening to since they were stealing their older brother CDs, Drakes peers, etc

21 saying nikkas dont give a fukk about charts and first week sales etc is facts. That's message board geek talk like it or not:manny: you gonna argue with a Boosie or Z-ro fan about #1s and first week sales?:mjlol:

If you hear Drake 80% of the time that's your bubble. Part of y'all seem to be offended that you think your bubble calibrated with somebody like 21 and it don't

This wasn't a shot and nikkas taking offense to it is baffling:mjlol: not everyone listens to Drake it's ok

He's 29

I know what era he's referring to

There was a period 10-11 yrs ago where ALL a nikka music came from Livemixtapes

That site was a part of the morning routine:wow:

Just like NY, there was an era where mixtapes >>>>>>>>> mainstream releases. That Dipset, G-Unit, Kay Slay, Clue, P-Cutta, etc era nikkas was bumping Pap, Say, Dipset, Uncle Murda, etc...waaaay more than we was listening to just music on the charts

As a former bootlegger, I would say nikkas wasn't checking for Drake. It was mainly girls and nikkas who like to think and just chill. nikkas who loved clubbing and shyt, them nikkas wanted the hardest nikkas to listen to. I would get so many local artist requests. I didn't even know who Future was but I was getting a lot of requests. This was like 2009. Rocko, big bank black, etc. A lot of street rappers for the most part.

He’s right
Only incels listen to drake
Incels don't listen to Drake. They listen to old school hip hop. Drake fans were your thinking type of brothas and women. Don't get it twisted, nikkas knew Drake records because of radio but it wasn't like their go to. nikkas go to and mainstream are never the same thing. While T.I. was dominating the south, the #1 song in the club was D4L - I'm da man.

Imma keep it 100. The hood ain’t obsessed wit either one of these nikkas like that. But Ionno. I feel like Future isn’t as loved as he once was. Lil Baby kinda in that spot right now.
Young nikkas idolize lil baby and durk more than anyone right now Detroit rappers getting a lot of burn in the hood too

nikkas in the hood/urban areas have never gravitated towards Drake. They like some of his songs, mostly the harder shyt with trap rappers or club bangers but he's never been 50,Wayne,Jeezy,Future status among black men EVER. The most I ever heard nikkas playing him was WATTBA.

Women and whites make up most of his core fan base so 21 isn't wrong with what he's saying especially in the south.

It's because a Drake cosign or feature can guarantee your spot in the game for a long time. Look at Migos, Kodak, Future, etc. they went from small timers to international stars after a Drake feature or cosign.

Man what?
Drake didn't do shyt for Kodak

Drake posted skrt skrt early on in his career and it helped blow that song up and his career.

Kodak was known in florida after no flockin and OG project baby but he didn't blow blow til that cosign and then i think lockjaw was after that
