I feel a large part of the judging comes from the few new rappers who genuinely seem like they don’t care about rap or hip hop music. I am talking about the what seems to be no interest of who came before or care for the actual craft.
Tenkashi 69 or whatever I read him saying he doesn’t even like his shyt but his fans do. That shyt make me not want to listent to rapper.
That misconception could easily come from the few.
The second is the drug use, a former generation that glorified the drug pushing is going to look down on the drug user. You can’t be taking 3-4 xans a day and talk about being in the kitchen whipping and the connect this connect that. That is going to sound silly to them.
Last the of one of two thing that bothers me is the rappers who have talent who are dumbing themselves way down. Which one can argue is genius but they do have more to offer and don’t.
My biggest gripe I can’t dance with chicks to alot of this shyt. Lol but its not only hip-hop I like that old school rub the paint of the wall reggae dub I use to get back in the day

I’m a old head and there’s nothing worse to me when old heads shut in the new generation. When we were growing up we got it from the old heads too, it’s a cycle.

I'm not saying drug dealers are saintly or make great decisions, but every dealer I ever met who wasn't hooked themselves was able to carry a conversation. Can't say the same for drug addicts
