Funny to me cuz on one hand I get how that kind of talk has led to violence against Jews and it is a stereotype. On the other hand though, my instincts are telling me the Jewish folks stating that they're offended are being disingenuous. As a result the conversation is stifled and non-bigoted people critical of Israel are muzzled. That's the objective, keep folks quiet.

So ask yourself, why don't they like any discussion about them even when it's not anti-semitic in context and really the sentiments are expressions of admiration? When you think about it, they're an insular community and their success in many ways is related to their in house way of doing business. So by default people outside their community are going to have observations. I didn't say opinions, I said observations. Jews don't like that for some reason though. For as much property, wealth, political and social power they've accumulated, they don't like scrutiny. When they yell anti-semitism, they act like someone who doesn't want to get caught.

I don't forsee another holocaust against Jews coming anytime soon though Matt. That said, the same way gays aren't off limits to jokes, I don't think Jews are too taboo to discuss. It's not anti-semitism to have an observation about them. To discuss their peculiarities is not the same thing as being suspicious.

You look at some of them mugshots and people were smiling. They don't want people talking about shyt like this. I gave you a concrete recent example.

It's beneficial for people to keep black people's issues and pockets in public view, but you even mention other groups money it's a problem. According to some people in this thread, Jews have been victimized by stereotypes and tropes, but have no issue making money off of stereotypes and tropes when it's black people. Shouldn't they know better? You never see people putting someone like Lyor Cohen's feet to the flames about pushing stereotypes and negativity.
