it's up to the offended party to extract the apology, not for the artist to preemptively apologize. so asking why 21 savage isn't apologizing for gleefully rapping about killing black people and spreading toxic messages to our community doesn't make any sense when we weren't offended enough (over a year ago by the way) to demand he apologize and do better in the future. there has to be a price to pay in order for the behavior to stop.

I agree, however, concerted efforts to hold rappers accountable is the ideal plan
if China continues to support North Korea, US sanctions are ineffective
if there's no "war on drugs" in Mexico, then US' efforts are ineffective
if 21 is getting paid by non-Blacks, then Black folks efforts are ineffective

in other words, hold everyone accountable that contributes to the problem

The reason most black people won't demand apologies from rappers because they dont want to be seen as "haters" or "c00ns"
