Black men are 23 times more likely to die by gun violence than White men and cats just sweeping that under the rug to talk about trailer park White trash:francis:

"Black males have the highest homicide rate, which has also dramatically increased for Black women, according to a new study on firearm-related deaths published on Tuesday (Nov. 29) in JAMA Network Open.
The analysis was a cross-sectional study of more than 1 million gun fatalities from 1990 to 2021, using data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
According to The Associated Press, young Black men in their early 20s had the highest homicide gun death rates at 142 per 100,000. For Black women, the firearm-related homicides more than tripled since 2010."

Why is this not a gun problem... Why is this a black problem. Why is the problem ours because we live in a part of society where guns are used instead of police. Doesnt mean the gun problem is ours to own. Their stats say whatever you make them say, there is whole studies on that. Data is fine, but that doesnt justify criminalizing an art and whole culture/people.
We are just living in the world. And reporting it in real time. As we always have. The gun problem is not a black problem. Its a global problem.

Making the answer to Gun violence black men is criminalization.
Attributing gun violence to black male culture is criminalization.
Attributing gun violence to gang culture is criminalization.
Rap, Black males and gangs all exist beyond the racist scope of being criminal.
Rap blacks and gangs existed before the rise in gun violence. The rise in violence is because of the guns. Every OG gang member says it was the difference.
Gun technology mixing with rap blacks and gangs causes us to report about gun violence in our culture narrative and history keeping.
Music Technology and how we express our oral tradition is gonna exist regardless of gun violence.
Dont criminalize our oral tradition for reputation points.

In today's day in age of rappers being hit with RICO charges for lyrics and social media content, 21 Savage may have treaded some very dangerous waters recently when he blurted out some information about his exploits in the streets. The occurrence took place on the Clubhouse app when the Grammy Award-winning rapper got into a passionate verbal dispute with a group of men from Chicago. As the argument escalated, the "No Heart" rapper made some incendiary comments about his reputation, fatalities in the city of Chicago, and the possibility of him adding to those numbers.

“You waited for this moment your whole life, so you could argue with a n*gga on Clubhouse,” 21 Savage said as he began to raise his voice. “You keep letting all these Chicago n*ggas boost your head up like y’all n*ggas ain’t dying in real life. Stop playing.”

"So you saying you're undefeated on that side, y'all ain't take no losses?" Replied one of the Chicagoans.

This comment really seemed to get under the skin of 21 Savage, who immediately fired back.

"Man, every n*gga that we beef with, n*gga, thirty of their n*ggas get smoked, and don’t nothing happen to us!" 21 Savage screamed. "In real life, n*gga. This [is] real life, n*gga!”

The 30-year-old continued, “Aye Cap, you from Chicago. I advise you to shut the f*ck up. Cause the n*ggas that I f*ck with up there spanking sh*t, so stop playing. Y’all ain’t spanking nothing, n*gga!”

Five years ago, 21 Savage started a campaign centered around non-violence called "Guns Down, Paintballs Up." Three years later, he tweeted, "I wish all this violence would stop it seems like it’s more hate than love in the universe right now!" So, hopefully, the recent confrontation on Clubhouse will end with the same peaceful sentiment that he has previously expressed.

Lets not use 21. Use Kendrick.

I don't have an issue with Kendrick's music, he engages the things he's seen in his community in a way that doesn't glorify those things. He strikes a balance in talking about the highs and lows of life in inner-cities. He is an artist that is responsible with his platform.
