Oregon did a fake punt from their own 25 on the first drive of the game against UCLA when the Bruins were the #12 team in the nation. And that was on a 4th-and-14 too.

The did an onside kick early in the 2nd quarter last year, which is almost the exact same scenario but even more difficult to pull off, when UCLA was the #21 team in the nation.

In 2016, Oregon was a bad team that finished 4-8. Colorado was ranked #17 in the nation. And Oregon still ran a fake punt from their own territory in the 2nd quarter.

Last year Oregon was playing #25 Washington, tried an onsides kick in the 2nd quarter, failed, and lost the game.

Counting yesterday, that's 5 examples of them doing that shyt in the 1st half from their own territory against ranked teams, and 3 of those examples are in the last year.

Has nothing to do with respect, it's just how they play to win. Most of the time, it works.
You’re talking about 4-5 different coaching staffs during that time.

They still salty about 2015 whenever they watch football. :russ:

FSU has just two years in the top-5 since the 1900s, still haven't won a single playoff game since that shyt started, but they're going off on this imaginary "blue chip program" status they've granted themselves. :dead:

It's a culture at Oregon, most coaches would want the freedom to play like this if they had the chance. :yeshrug:

If you just want to talk about Dan Lanning though, he's bought into it as hard as anyone. Went for 2 to start the game in 3 out of 4 games so far this season. Did the onside kick in the 2nd quarter against UCLA last year. Did the onside kick in the 2nd quarter against against UW last year. They're in the top-20 in going for it on fourth down both years (12th this season), despite most games being blowouts where they didn't ever need it. And then the fake punt in the 2nd quarter against Colorado this year.

Most coaches are scared to take risks, even if the odds are in their favor, cause they think they'll take all the blame. At Oregon, you already know the fans expect you to try crazy shyt and aren't gonna fret if a two-point conversation doesn't score sometimes and a fake on fourth down doesn't always work out.

Yeah FSU won the chip. Then the next year they definitely had a hangover like when teams going to the Superbowl. They didn't play hungry. Damn near every game was close and they almost lost to GA Tech and Boston college that season:dead:

But still got another chip in the case the year before. What Oregon NC case looking like:sas2:
It’s filled with a Nike box. Maybe they got a trophy for that playoff win. :russ: :russ: :russ:

You sound hurt. But but they haven’t finished in the top 5 so and so years.

Have the Ducks won a championship in the 20th or 21st century?

Save it boys, y'all might be running it back in the playoff this year.
Oregon is not sweeping the last PAC 12. Then they’ll be having trains 🚂 ran on them for the foreseeable future in the Big 10.

Let me go deep on this one, let me break it down further, to racists and white supremacists ie the go ol boy system ,deion and colarado represents an uppity negro stepping out of line and not knowing his place, so they have to change that and force deion to kiss the ring and bend the knee, they hate an unapologetic confident black man, they will use everything and every mistake. The type of vile comments i saw after the defeat to oregon goes way beyond football this is clearly racial and political right now. I am pro deion because i know deion is pro black and pro black men.

You've literally never won a playoff game, but think you're "blue chip" cause you were a great team in the 1900s.

In your mind, "blue chip" just means you were good back when actual segregationists still boosted your program. :mjlol:
"1900s" is underselling FSU don't you think? They really started their run back in the 1990s, not 1914. It was only 10-15 years before Oregon rose to prominence.

Maybe I'm overselling them giving them the whole century. You're right, that team was really only elite for 15 years. :manny:

Sweeping? With that schedule? With Bo Nix at QB? Nah. fukk no.

They're losing to SOMEBODY, but when you have to deal with a lot of ranked opponents, there's opportunity to get back in the race even with a loss. They're a playoff caliber team imo

Oregon isn't good enough to make a title run and Pac-12 is too tough for them to sneak into a playoff. Probably gonna have at least 8 bowl teams including six teams in the top-20 and FOUR in the top-10 right now.

Oregon plays at UW, at Utah, and home against USC, WSU, and OSU. They're probably gonna go 2-3 in those five games. Even if they manage 3-2, I don't really see that being enough to squeeze into a playoff berth this year.

You do realize you sound goofy as shyt with this "blue chip" thing? FSU's big run ended while you were still in elementary school. Now since 2000, they've had just two Top-5 seasons in the last 22 years cause a generational quarterback came through. Outside of Winston's little run,* Oregon has been clearly better than FSU over the last 20+ years.

Why do you care so much? We don't go around thinking about FSU, we don't have imaginary lists of what a "blue chip" program is. Is this something that improves your college football viewing experience? It's okay if you lose, cause you're still a "blue chip"? You didn't play for FSU, you didn't even go to that school, you ain't from Tallahassee, and no one there knows you exist. Maybe you're taking this a bit too seriously.

* Wait, not even outside Winston's run, cause Oregon destroyed that team too. :laff:

You're lucky as hell you had an easy ACC schedule and lucked into a farce of an Auburn squad in the title game, otherwise you might have been exposed both years.

Yeah, it may seem that way but who really knows? The B1G was in the same position in 2021 I think. I remember when Michigan, OSU, Penn State and Iowa I believe were all ranked in the top 10 with two in the top 4. MSU and Wisconsin were not too far behind either. It was the same in 2016 at one point too.
