The Republican’s will run the economy into the ground by cutting taxes while raising spending. Tried and true. Also all those personalities in Trumps cabinet will eventually turn on each other like last time. Remember you actually have to work a pretty boring job.

That said, the Latino shift worries me. They bought in to the American dream so to speak and they are a lot more conservative socially than even white Christian’s.

Gotta get them and Asians back up to 70-75% support somehow.

You think those massive tariffs are gonna help the economy? That will directly increase the cost of goods

Plus, Elon's influence could also wreck the economy.

And this was the last time Trump was on the ballot, the GOP has underperformed when he wasn't on the ballot.

A better Dem campaign (which they have 4 years to prepare for) should at least be able to do 3 points better in the "Blue Wall" states plus Georgia.

Trump more or less governed like a regular Republican. His ideas this time around are much more extreme.

And the GOP massively underperformed in 2022 despite gas being over 4 dollars a gallon.

Oh, they're not just "looking at real trouble". They're screwed for the foreseeable future.

Unless, of course, they shift their messaging to focus solely on economic concerns and begin working to attract regular, everyday working-class blue collar Americans versus highly educated affluent liberals and college students.

But, as history has shown us previously, they likely STILL won't learn a damn thing.

Latinos aren't really socially conservative in these sense that white paleoconservative GOP activists are. They (who vote GOP) just like the macho/bravado aspect of Trump.

There is reason for concern of course, but if Trump goes through with mass deportations it could cool off the GOP's gains with Latino.

also keep in mind that the whole premise of tariffs, was eliminating the income tax. which will not happen, so no tariffs.

It's naive to think that either party will be doomed for more than 4 to 8 years at a time.

Hopefully after sizeable amount of them are deported they won't have as much political influence. Its a harsh stance but if they're just going to come here and support fascism at the expense of all of us, then they can get the fukk out this country.
