Kamala in 2024 66 million votes
Trump went from 74 down to 71 million votes this time
She loss over 15 million votes
She never broke away from Biden completely.. she and biden should have talked about her criticizing him more about the economy and immigration and understand that it was just a plan to win votes and no hard feelings

Maga showed up. Plain and simple. When returns were coming in I could see the numbers were too low. Biden brought the numbers in 2020. You could see early on that wasn't happening here and was gonna lead to disaster.
That's something I will give to the right. As misguided as they are? They show up. It's war and they treat it like it's war. Every time. Not just when they like the candidate. Not just when they feel like it. Every single time. We need to get that same mentality consistently. Really all that needs to be said.

That's one issue (an issue I agree with republicans on btw)
We say this every time but progressives galvanized the youth vote. At some point in time y'all will see that the largest voter pool is still untapped.
So what's the Dems path forward? Putting Joe Manchin at the forefront?
The Democrats keep giving the white house to Trump. This "vote against trump" with no substantive policy is exactly why we have him twice.

To keep it a buck, this is probably going to cause the DNC to further disregard the black vote. She could've had 100% of the black vote and still lost pretty handily.

The spicy cacs are the wave now. The Right been spotted that. They've known for decades they can win w/o sizable Black vote. Dems are going to realize that now and pivot towards latinos in the future. Even Kamala won, reality is reality.
Black political clout is waning. We could only pull on white guilt for so long. Nobody cares.

I was listening to Pod Save America last night and they were talking about knocking door to door and you could tell how exasperated they were that on nearly every door they knocked nobody gave a fukk about policy.
There was one Asian old lady they spoke with who could barely speak English and she said “oh isn’t Kamala going to let in the migrants”. They explained to her all of Kamala’s policies and how she is going to make her pills cheaper and the Asian lady said “ok ok I vote for Kamala I promise”
At the time I was like “good job guys” convinced a voter. Now I know that Asian lady was full of shyt and either didn’t vote or voted for Trump.

We keep saying "The Democratic party" did this and that wrong. But with these definitive results, it's really not about any party. It's us. The American people.
There's no scapegoat to blame or magical, charming left wing "populist" who'll run and save us. This is what America is and always was.
