Stop it with nonsense like this, if was the same in 2016 until the blue wave never came, people have reason to worry.

Breh...he got West Virginia, Indiana, and Kentucky. Anyone acting all giddy for Trump right now ain't no objective critic, they a politically illiterate Trump dikkrider and I'm clowning em tonight.

The problem is that Trump's influence would be undeniable in the party. Even though Trump winning would guarantee a Dem likely wins in 2028, Republican Presidential candidates in 28 and 32, and candidates for other elected offices would think being a Trump clone is the way to win.

The overall party would have no incentive to change for the better. If Trump loses for the 2nd time, the party has incentive to bush Trump and change into a more sane, rational party and minimize the power and influence of idiots and Trump supporting conspiracy theorists in Congress.

This not to mention he can still endorse other candidates. Obama got out there and had impact in pushin Kamala the last month. Trump basically an influencer one of the biggest influencers in the world him goin to rallies or showin public support for next republican candidate would have impact even if he can't run himself specially since it probably gon be someone he already close to.

In case people want a quick reference and if you want to double check what the usual is for the states.

Projection (and why it'll come down to battleground or surprising state flips):
