Blah blah
. We need big changes so I'll take the risk
Big changes? The fukk? Black men voting for Trump on the economy need a serious education on government civics and economics. Too often I hear arguments and logic that doesn't make any fukking sense and it drives me crazy.
Trump inherited a good economy from Obama. 75 straight months of job growth which was the longest on record. Wages & income increasing, unemployment and poverty decreasing. Which meant the next President just needed to ride the wave and not fukk up. Which is what Trump and took credit for it as the unemployment rate continued to drop.
Trump's tax cuts in 2017 was not good for the middle class. Studies showed that 83% of the benefits goes to the upper class and corporations. Those executives in corporations use that benefit to buy back their stock. The benefits did not trickle down like Republicans claim it would and those in the middle class who did receive a benefit, it was only temporary because it actually hurts the middle class in the long run since the middle class taxes will increase over time. The tax cuts also did not provide this crazy boost to the economy that Republicans hoped it would, federal revenue actually decreased, and it's still driving up the federal deficit by 2 trillion until 2027. The law also provided tax incentives for businesses to ship jobs overseas. Some middle class people who went to file taxes ended up owing money or did not get back what they thought because of this law.
The law also put a $10,000 cap on the SALT tax, which hurt homeowners in high property tax states because they had to forefit billions of dollars in in deductions since they could no longer claim money beyond that amount. Of course the provision ended up putting more money in higher income people. Now Trump is talking about repealing the cap, which would just increase the deficit by more than $1 trillon dollars and any benefit would likely effect the upper class again.
How the fukk is Trump good for the economy?
Trump withdrew the US from the Trans-Pacific Partnership. A partnership that would have helped US farmers/ranchers by getting access to closed markets in Japan. Then started a trade war with China and threw tariffs on Chinese imports. So the Chinese in return did the same to US imports. fukking stupid when China is the US biggest agricultural export market. Other countries jumped in with retaliatory tariffs against the US because Trump put tariffs on steel and aluminum, which raised production and manufacturing costs. These Chinese tariffs reduced agriculture exports by almost 30 billion on one year and most of that was soybeans. The farmers in the United States got ratfukked and lost billions of dollars because China wouldn't buy shyt. Farmer bankruptcies increased and the Trump administration gave them at least 30 billion dollars of taxpayer dollars in bailout money to keep them afloat.
How the fukk is Trump good for the economy?
In 2020, Trump mishandled Covid so bad that Congress was force to pass into law, with Trump's signature 6
trillion dollars to keep the country afloat. Blowing up the deficit. 73% of that money, more than $4.38 trillion went directly to the market. Small business bailouts, unemployment benefits, stimmy checks. When the economy opens back up the following year, demand goes through the roof because everybody got money, without the supply to match it because businesses had low production levels during covid and the supply chain broke. Because demand was so high and supply was so short, and because the money supply in the market outpaced economic growth, you will have inflation. The same inflation that Biden has been getting blamed for that Trump should be getting blamed for. (To be fair, inflation was a global problem due to covid and the US was fortunate enough to have the lowest of the major countries. So Trump can't get full blame. But he deserves blame)
How the fukk is Trump good for the economy?
Eliminating social security taxes sounds good in theory for both the wealthy and the middle class until you realize it would blow up the deficit by over $1 trillion dollars in 10 years, could endanger the overall financial health of the Social Security and Medicare programs because the programs would dry up sooner if there is nothing to replace that lost revenue with. Now, the Republican Party in Congress has been pushing for years to gut these programs completely so why the fukk would anyone trust Trump to improve the Social Security program? Any new tax changes have to go through Congress. If the Republicans win control of both chambers of Congress, given their history, how would this possibly turn out to benefit people? Yes, let's get rid of the taxes, do nothing to help the program and watch millions of seniors suffer.
And now Trump is talking about adding more tariffs, which will only hurt Americans pockets more.
Vote for a criminal, multi time indicted demagogue who attempted to burn down Democracy and overthrow the government to stay in power, is a financial fraudster with a history of demonizing minorities and has a record of shyt economic plans because you think you will get a little social security tax break brehs.
Remedial ass nikkas.
