He’s going over the top but there is a point being put out there that can’t be ignored

What is it to gain from a political capital perspective by pandering so much to transgenders? This was a miscalculation by the dems because even those these people don’t matter in any real way the republicans was able to take votes from the Dem based on this

I really don't understand this point of view. Democrats don't champion transgenders. Republicans and specifically Trump republicans have socially constructed this narrative, but I don't see evidence of it anywhere. What Republicans do is attack transgendered people, who represent less than 2% of the population, and then when anyone tries to come to the defense of the people being attacked, Republicans point the finger and say "see, look they're championing these people, they want to put them in classrooms with our kids". That's not what's going on though, people are just defending transgendered people from threats to completely eliminate their existence. That's basic human rights, and I have yet to see a Democrat center transgender rights in their campaign or even push policy just for and only for transgender, but to hear the right tell it, that's the #1 priority for Democrats and y'all are eating that shyt up. It reminds of when white people call Al Sharpton a race hustler because he actually defends black people who are victims of racial violence. The act of defending someone becomes the problem, and no one discusses what brought about the actual need for the defense, which is the attack.

Yea like @XannyWarbucks alluded to.. I don’t remember Kamala openly campaigning for trans anything. She might have gone as far as saying something along the lines of ‘we should love everyone’ on some kumbaya shyt, but she never campaigned on it.

I think everyone’s looking for someone/something to blame because we’re hurting (most of us at least) .. and people might be onto something.. but love her/hate her/feel indifferent about her.. Kamala made this a lot closer than anyone imagined. The reason she lost boils down to the fact that she’s a woman.. and if that wasn’t bad enough, she was a woman of color.

You’ve gotta understand.. Jesus can be resurrected and come out telling the conservatives how backwards their way of thinking is, and they’d turn on him, himself right then and there.

Like I’ve said many many times.. it’s a disease.

They won in 2020 an stopped a full takeover in 2022. They probably pandered more back then.

I know I keep saying this, but Kamala lost because of who she is, not her messaging or pandering or whatever. People aren't being real with themselves.

You're not going to win over racists by offering them a good job and healthcare. That shyt does not work, they'll vote against their own interest every time so the people they hate won't benefit. And this is from a Bernie supporter who wants progressive policies.

You aren't going to get them by moving to the right either. Between a Republican and Republican-lite people will just vote for the Republican.



Dems just need to radically up their social media game and focus on getting people who stayed home to vote. Trying to kiss the asses of white Trump voters (which is really what people mean when they say "working class") is a terrible political strategy and never works.
