Who would even be that 'liberal Joe Rogan'? Look at the current crop of liberal, progressive and left-leaning influencers:

  • Vaush and Destiny, who are fukking weirdos, and it would probably hurt a Democratic politician for even going on their platforms;
  • Hasan Piker, who would be critical of any milquetoast liberal;
  • Bryan Tyler Cohen and David Pakman, who have huge platforms, but have a more formal style than a Joe Rogan and aren't really known for long-form interviews;
  • TYT, which even the progressive politicians won't come on;
  • Jon Favreau, who's seen as a typical liberal elitist;
  • Don Lemon, who's a corporate media guy who went online after getting fired
You're not gonna be able to build up a platform like that in enough time for 2028, and if you did they'd be more like Hasan than anybody else, which wouldn't have the effect that Democrats would want it to.
They need to go on podcasts that are apolitical but lean liberal.

Club Shay Shay was a good example it’s just Kamala was too robotic.

Another good one would be someone like Kai Cenat. I’ve never watched him but I think he’s popular with gen z

I was really surprised a lot of people didn't already.
I hadn't been using Twitter that long before Elon was forced to buy it (:mjlol:) but it instantly became shyttier with low-tier scammy ads and paid blue checks. Deleted soon after. I keep a lurk account for fukkery purposes but I don't post anything there. :francis:
Unfortunate reality is it still is the best place to get information, needs to be a legit movement from the entire left media apparatus to exit twitter

The problem is most people who are swing voters arent heavy into politics so they aren’t gonna be that into strictly political podcasts

Guys like Rogan are entertainment podcasts where he mixes in a lot of political sh1t

It would have to be some huge entertainment or sports podcast who decides to mix in politics and is also a Dem

And that reason is the economy, voters felt like biden Harris administration did not look out for them. Funny part of Bernie throwing the biden administration under the bus is they listened and implemented a lot of his and Warren's policy decisions. Bernie won't say it but it's been obvious he wants less focus on blacks and more on whites and white Latinos
Yea, Bernie was foul for that. But on the flip side, yall cant tout this as the best economy for workers probably ever, how we had the best covid recovery in the wolrd and then say Bernie's ideas didn't work either. My honest opinion is that economic policy takes time to trickle to the people and there should be things done that people can feel in the immediate. Probably like the child tax credit.

Don't get me started on this. The common retort to black people feeling like they had more money under trump was to shyt on them over a 1500 check instead of considering why 1500 went so far for so many people. The fact that the child tax credit WIPED OUT CHILD POVERTY in one fell swoop should have told us everything we need to know about what people really need. I'll never understand why the party constantly runs away from winning ideas.
They still think its all about the dance and "I'm black" (? so are we) and the colour purple and how black (and hispanic men), are trash. Shoving something who didn't even have a black spouse in front of us, without a primary (or a real platform) and tell people if you don't vote for her, you are racist? Come on!

It was a mirage. all of it. Again, if these guys down south are so smart, why do all their neighbours support Donnie? We need a reapproach with black people BY REGION if we are to win again. Black democratic twitter demanded her as the candidate, and as you said, condesended to those who said otherwise. If they are tired, they can stay home. Winning 1 out of the last 3 elections to Donald Trump says the country is sick of them, too.

So kamala may end up getting more votes then Biden in all swing states, trump just got the low propensity voters out.
There's an argument to be made that if the GOP wasn't obsessed with voter suppression, they might have won by more.

Still is wild to me that non-voters, who are disproportionately young and non white, ended up being Republicans the whole time. Totally shakes the theoretical foundations of voting rights organizations.

So does the rest of the country... you can't win getting 35 percent of white people.

nobody is going to do that on a sports podcast because of the double standard between the right and left. (Think Nick Bosa vs Collin Kapernick). A guy like Simmons leaning more into politics will probably kill his fan base who "doesn't come here for that". Look at all the shyt ESPN took for their on air talent being to left leaning back in the late 2010s. THE GAME IS RIGGED. Had they been up there being pro police, pro military, pro life etc, none of those people would be crying about not wanting politics in their sports.

The left and the right are playing two completely different sports when it comes to politics and it's infuriating.

I'm still trying to figure out what polls did the Harris administration use that showed them +10 with independents and winning with low propensity voters

i think an increase in realistic, but free money policies that appeal to everyone like the child tax credit, combined with an effort to stop appealing to the weirdness on the far left, and nominating a shapiro type, can win it back in 2028. republicans might cut taxes and turn the economy around, but they won't actually do anything about the cost of raising a kid, housing, etc

for the record, i only bring up the treh/culture shyt because i'm starting at the ground up with the EASIEST thing to change :dead: but i've made my point on that, dems can do what they want

also, make a massive effort to straight up target/research/see what latinos want. they arguably decided this election, and that trend is not changing. hispanic VP in '28 wouldn't hurt

You too stupid and bigoted like the voters trump won to realize republicans voted against extending the child tax credit
or were dems too weak and soft to bring that up? post me a clip of kamala mentioning that during the campaign, not telling us she grew up in middle class family and worked at mcdonalds

Agreed

Jon Stewart is the closest in terms of being political yet also entertaining enough to capture non political junkies but I don’t know if he has the same pull he used to

Dems could have used him years ago starting a Rogan type podcast where he doesn’t just do politics or political guests but it’s a huge part of it along with comedians and everyone else so you could get non political people and maybe convert some

You need someone like Stewart who’s funny and entertaining as well but not preachy or houlier then thou
