I think you all give Gavin Newsom too much credit.

Sure he’s a tall white guy but he’s also the governor of California, which would have made him easy to define.

Gavin with 3 months doesn’t beat Trump.

It would be too easy to paint him as the leader of the leading “liberal shythole”
Gavin wins easily. The "liberal shythole" stuff plays with a very small part of the Republican base. He has the look and is a better public speaker than Kamala. That's 90% of electoral politics.

Kamala being picked/vp pick takes is so lazy, exit polls across all states show that the economy is why voters supported trump. Whoever ran on the democrat platform with 3 months to go was going to get smoked

The economy has improved greatly. These people have no clue what they are talking about.

End of the day is you didn't build a base by appointing a candidate.

3 months isn't enough time.

Oh well.

Big lesson from this election is that centrism will never defeat fascism. If you want to avoid hitting the wall, you have to veer left.

You have to tell a better story, you can’t just say that they’re bad. Neoliberalism is dead.
So she should’ve campaigned on open borders and Medicare for all?

You keep repeating yourself but fail to provide specifics
Yeah, that also needs to stop as well.
If someone disagreed with trans rights, they were called a bigot.
If they didn't agree with reparations, they were called racist.
If they didn't want a woman candidate. they were called misogynists.

I can keep going but you get the idea. That shyt really radicalized people and he results shown it.
This is the entire DEI argument.

Republicans used DEI as an attack on whiteness

It was the same shyt with Hillary in 2016. Majority of the regular voters was not enthusiastic about Clinton but they forced her down our throats and we got 4 years of Trump as a result. It's the same shyt again.
the good news is that we'll get an excellent, full primary in 2028, full of only young candidates, and free of the DNC stacking it. Dems haven't had that since 2008 :mjlol:

that Shapiro hopefully wins. maybe Wes Moore

The fact that the senate candidates in WI, MI and PA might pull this out tells me Biden would have won this.
This is still a racist country and they would be comfortable with senile Biden

Said it when they pushed him out. Racist cacs will vote for Biden. They won't vote for a woman.

Would that candidate be able to do that though ? I have trouble seeing a Dem candidate shytting on a Dem incumbent president. They still the same party at the end of the day.
Exactly.

That’s like saying your moms cooking is trash then making one of her recipes saying she taught you everything you know.

warning signs I noticed over the last 2 years in San Diego:

- The 7/11 cholo clerk who had a huge Trump sticker on his phone, works the grave shift at 7/11, guy probably makes $15 a an hour

- A few of my homies who did fed time, and are now mostly legit small business owners, very vocal about Trump

- Bottle service/club girls I know, in their mid 30's with no kids, no degrees, none of that shyt

- all my friends nephews who are like 14-18, sweet kids but 100% online

- My homies who know virtually nothing of politics, like not even state/fed, unless it's a criminal case

- Educated women I know, who come from conservative/very religious backgrounds, very vocal

- Working class/blue collar guys of all races

-a fukking convicted federal felon who was indicted AND deported for drug trafficking, a non US citizen, who does not speak english, said he wanted Trump back

whereas all the Harris supporters I know are 100% professional class, and highly educated. Didn't even know and DIDN"T want to know anyone voting for Trump.

Also, reading all those small R columnists in the NY Times, about populism, about the economy, about inflation. There was one that said populism is like an infection from a body reacting to a system, a loss of trust in the current ways of governing. it's a warning sign.

My Dad and I kept having the same argument, I would say Dad, it' doesn't matter what the Fed is doing, or what the rate of inflation is to most people. He would insist the economy was great. Me? I pay from a fat roll of $100 bills, but working people are hit in the gut hard the last few years. Like I would never tell that clerk the economy is great. but that's what has been going on.

I agree. You have to make a clear contrast to the people so they won't for the "they're the same" or "both sides" dishonest argument.

A populist leftist is needed to counter MAGA populist. No more corporate centrist.

Gavin has the same exact playboy swag that JFK, Clinton, and Obama had. how'd those guys do?

Gavin running on protecting abortion wins with white women. kamala did not.
