Reading different opinion pieces (liberal and conservative), you'd think the election is certain for Trump. All cite the excitement for Harris earlier in the summer coming back down to Earth as the polls are so close now. And then say how polls underestimated Trump in 2016 and 2020, so he must be doing better than the polls suggests. Then they add in the betting markets, some of which give Trump a 63% chance of winning.
With all the red flags he has (Project 2025, convictions, cognitive decline, Jan 6, grifter, liar, Israel and Russia puppet, abortion, Epstein alliance, scapegoats everyone else and never tskes responsibility or apologizes, ponders to the rich (or whoever is standing in front of him at the time), Supreme Court picks, federal court picks, poor handling of Covid, and absolutely zero integrity), how can people want to put him back in office? His racist base I understand becaise he makes them feel good to be white. But everyone else I just don't see the charm.
Maybe it just me being overly worried. I just want to see the end of the MAGA movement in Ameican politics. If Trump loses, he loses his credibility, snd I don't see anyone else with the name power and charisma (to his base) that can keep the movement going.
