I've enjoyed quite a few Lex podcasts but the more I look into him the more of a fraud he appears to be

I wanted to chime in with basically the same point. He taught a winter class at MIT (which apparently has a much lower bar than actually being faculty there) and basically stretched the truth by claiming to be an MIT researcher.




Don't know if he's still there but Gary Marcus was a professor/researcher at MIT for a bit

Lex has no published papers at all. He is obviously very intelligent, but not on the level of true experts in their fields. He's been going farther and farther to the right and I haven't listened to him in a long while, but his podcast was my favorite at one point. Got very high level guests.
