Would’ve preferred him going back to TNA but he’s done everything there. My fear is him going to AEW and be this hit thing for a few weeks then we’ll go months without seeing him. And if he went to WWE he would be great in NXT but flounder on the main roster. But best of luck to him in the big payday.

That’s a mistake on his part if true
Dude's been grinding if TK going to pay him the most he should go there.
Oh wow, I thought he was going to go to NXT. Or maybe New Japan since he said his #1 goal is the G1.

He had already rejected AEW once because he thought he would get lost in the shuffle there so was not expecting that. I never even really considered it as a possibility to be honest.
I don't keep up enough on the partnership. But doesn't signing with AEW offer the biggest paycheck with that option still on the table?

Haven’t seen Josh wrestle, but if he’s a wrestler’s wrestler he obviously fits AEW more. Does he have a character or personality? If not, he’s Timothy Thatcher status in NXT.

And some people confuse "good booking" with "my favorite wrestler should win all the time". Meanwhile, there's wrestlers who took plenty of Ls and it did not affect them in the long run because they were still made to look credible- the greatest example being John Cena, who spent most of '02 and '03 doin' the job to Angle, Taker, Lesnar, Eddie, and Benoit on SmackDown and getting over the whole damn time. By today's social media expectations, they woulda thought his career was cooked... even tho' he went on to be a star that people HATED because of how much he was pushed. But he was also being pushed when he was taking those Ls because most of the other heels on the show weren't getting NEAR that much airtime or being put with all those guys he had feuds with.

Yeah, that’s another thing with booking. It’s similar to what Swerve is going through. He’s been eating Ls in these feuds, but the programs he’s been in are good. Although Swerve is established and wasn’t grinding like Cena, the comparison is the same; they coulda had Swerve working with lower card talent and just floating around. shyt, even working with Jericho for the ROH title woulda been leagues down.

Yes, but his reasoning for rejecting AEW before (risk getting lost in the shuffle) is still a prevalent problem over there. Maybe he got some sort of contractual guarantees to his liking (like a G1, for example) or got so much money that it didn’t matter anymore.

He’s definitely a work rate guy. I can’t vouch for the character or personality stuff, only time I ever watched TNA was for a PPV or just to check out a match, so not exactly the ideal environment to evaluate someone on that.

The WWE/NXT roster is bloated, maybe more than AEW. And don’t forget their ID up and comers.

Streets trying to figure out how much WWE is involved with this round of TNA shakeups :patrice:

This just made sense to do. Not everything has to be overthought or over convoluted :snoop:
I don't get how the "streets" are speculating on how TNA hiring people with sports background as a bad thing or if it means WWE is gonna take over. Plus, Cicione was a temp president as Carlos Silva from PFL is the new president of TNA while is the president of Anthem Sports Group. Cicione still works for Anthem in their entertainment division.

Basically, the iwc is doom posting as usual.
